Another sketch on IPad

Dave got me an app for the Ipad called Paper by FiftyThree. This is a quick sketch of a mushroom if you can't tell. ;) I think it looks alittle like a lamp.
I think I would like to have a mushroom stamp, maybe I should look into that.

New Pillow & Ipad Sketch

Laura and I worked on a new pillow ( the pattern is from sew 4 home: i love that site!!) for her living room, and I am trying to decide if it needs to live in my house instead. LOL! I am loving it. AND I tried my new buttonhole maker on my machine!! You put the button in it, and it makes the hole the exact length you need! How cool is that?!!
Sorry about the pic, I took it with my phone.

Unity's March Challenge: Windows or Doors

This one is for Unity's Monthly Challenge, and for today's Friends with Flair. It was really hard to get a good pic straight on, I attached the stamped image only on one side in the crease, and it is not wanting to lay flat. I wanted to give the illusion of a window with the shadows, so that is why I didn't glue down the right side.
I used Unity's Feel the Joy stamp, and colored it with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink, and SU Brocade Blue, then used a mini mister to dampen the ink. I was hoping for more watercolor-y look like the bottom flower, but I think it turned out okay.
The clouds are from PTI dies, and I sponged along the bottom and used a white gel pen on the highlights. The bit of patterned paper is from MME Lime Twist: Happy Go Lucky.

Stampendous Monthly Challenge: Shaped Cards

This is my most favorite Stampendous stamps! The Jumbo Dahlia!
So I just had to enter it in the Stampendous Monthly Challenge, as the prize is their newest Jumbo Hollyhock stamp, and I am dying for it!
I like clear embossing on colored cardstock, and then darkening certain areas.
On this one, I used PTI Summer Sunrise paper, and sponged SU Pumpkin Pie along the edges.
The bee is from Cornish Heritage, and I colored the wings with my gold sparkle pen. And the sentiment is from A Muse. The tag just needed something extra, so I used a Sharpie and went around the edges to make it stand out a bit.

CFC 45 & Friends with Flair

This is for CAS-ual Friday's #45, to use black with a pastel, and also Unity's Friends with Flair.
I am loving Unity's Insightful Meadow set, you are probably getting sick of seeing it. The sentiment is from A Muse. The pastel is PTI's Lavender Moon.
I also borrowed Michelle's butterfly dies from A Muse, and die cut a bunch out of MME Lime Twist: Happy Go Lucky paper pad. Thanks Michelle, I love those butterflies, they make me smile!

PPA 131 Sketch & Friends WIth Flair

This is for the PPA Sketch challenge and Unity's Friends with Flair.
I have been cleaning out my craft room and some of my old paper scraps. I found this polka dot paper from this class that I taught, and I loved this paper so much, I thought I just had to use it up instead of throwing it out.
I used Unity's Insightful Meadow stamped in Memento Rubarb and Sand inks, and the sentiment is from Unity's Feel the Joy set. I sponged the edge in sand also.

CFC #43 & MIM #57

I am combining 2 challenges on this card. The CAS-ual Fridays : Get Sentimental & PTI's Make It Monday: Colored Kissing.
I used Spring Moss ink on Turning a New Leaf stamp, then inked the kinda starburst stamp from the Daydreamers set in Memento Bamboo Leaves. I also used those same 2 inks for the border at the bottom of the card.
The ribbon is Ripe Avocado, I LOVE that color!

Watchdog

Just playing around with the camera. This is our dog, we like him because we don't have to take him on walks, and don't need a fence.

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger A is for...

Playing with my new camera, the first pic is taken with the lens that came with the camera, the 2nd is the telephoto lens. I am still learning, that's for sure!I love the colors in this week's Tuesday Trigger from Moxie Fab. So my take on it is B is for Beautiful (sentiment from Cornish Heritage: Sweet Bee). The background paper is MME's Lost & Found, love that it looks like school paper. The medallion stamp is PTI, and the flower is SEI Moonrise.

Winter Blues

ETA: above is new camera, below is old camera . i can tell a difference in sharpness.
so sorry for the bad lighting, i was in a hurry to get it uploaded.
This is for Moxie Fab's Winter Blues challenge, and Unity's Friends with Flair.
I stamped Unity's Insightful Meadow in PTI Enchanted Evening on a page torn out of my dictionary. I just happened to be Turkey Vulture, I thought that was funny, so I left it at the top ;)
The paper is also PTI E Evening, that is textured, and with Fresh Snow on the edges. The buttons are faux from MFT dies and MME paper. I think I got carried away with the Glossy Accents and messed one up, but oh well, I like texture.

Faux Watercolor Medallion

This was really fun to make! I used SU's really big Medallion stamp and inked it with 2 inks, and then spritzed it with water. I split the image, and then was able to make 2 cards, and this is one of them.

Dogwood Sketch

After seeing Alisa Burke's latest sketch, I just had to try a black/white flower sketch. I didn't want to copy hers straight up, so I found one of my favorite pics of Betty's, a dogwood bloom, and combined it with another pic on Flickr.
These are my 2 favorite spots on the sketch, I wish I had left a few more white spaces open. But I had fun doing it, and it was a pretty fast sketch while I watched tv.

Papaya Meadow

LinkI needed an Anniversary card for Laura, and I just had to play with my new Unity stamps, Insightful Meadow. So I thought I could enter it in Unity's Friends with Flair this week. I stamped the flowers in Papaya ink by A Muse, on Rustic Cream paper by PTI.
The sentiment is also A Muse, and stamped in Slate (thanks Michelle for letting me play in your ink box!). The buttons are MFT dies, and I topped them with Glossy Accents, and layered them with a Cheerios box to make them a little thicker.
