Gift Tin

this is a hinged tin that kim carries at Serendipity. i modified nicole's idea from her gift tag set, and used the dividers. i put gift tags with tea cups in one side, added buttons and ribbon to the others.
i used glue dots to hold the ribbon on the lid and also to keep the name plate on the clear window.

Buttoned Lavender

i am loving my new MFT Herbal stamps, here is another called Lavender. the pink papers are Basic Grey: Bittersweet pack. this is for a sketch challenge at scs: MFTSC68.

Cracked Trees

these are the thank you's that i sent out for the help cleaning up our downed limbs from the ice storm.
i thought these were appropriate because i did the cracked glass technique on the Lovely as a Tree set from su. ;)

Cuttlebug Organizer

i have been trying to figure out what to do with my nestibilities, and embossing folders. esp when i teach classes, they have to be portable.
SOooo, i made my own magnetic book, and then used the bind-it-all to finish it off.
i bought some magnetic sheets at walmart.

i put pockets on the back side of half the pages to hold my embossing folders.

and i used some of my favorite paper by My Mind's Eye, the tres jolie line, for the front and back covers.

and then i used my fav nestibilities, the curved rectangles to do the name plate on the front. i also used my new alphabet stamp set from JustRite.
and now i can take it with me.

Another Sneak Peek

here is the belly band on the clear box that holds the cards. we will be making a card set for my next 2 classes.
please keep checking back to see the whole set that we will be making in my march classes at Serendipity (19 s main st, henderson).
this stamp is from My Favorite Things, called Chives.

Ice Storm Cleanup

here is our tree scrap pile, as you can see, it is taller than dave's car.
but it is done, and ready to be hauled off. the little sag on our roof was not really on our roof, it was just our gutter that was bent.
my dad and uncle came up and brought volunteers to work at our house and other houses too. it was a huge relief to us to get it all done. thank you to everyone who helped.

Sneak Peek Card Class

i am going to do things a little differently for my march classes. i am going to give a little sneak peek. i will be teaching a card class on Fri, March 13th, and Sat, March 28th. we will be using the cuttlebug and nestibilities, doing some paper piecing, and using Koh-i-noor pencils with a blending medium.

Kim ordered stamps from a new company, called My Favorite Things. So Serendipity (19 s main st, henderson, ky) will now be carrying some of their stamps. i am so excited.
please keep checking back here to see more. especially if you like herbs, you will love these stamps as much as i do.

this is also my first card using my new My Favorite Things stamp set called Hot Stuff. i also used koh-i-noor pencils with blending stumps and a blending medium.

Feb Class

here is what we are doing in my next class at Serendipity(19 s main st, henderson, ky), on Feb 14th. we are showing different things that the Bind it All can do. this one is a calendar with acrylic covers.
i used it to mark anniversaries. this page shows my anniversary.

this is the other book. a stamping organizer using JustRite alpha set. i have used the tab punch to put dividers in the book, so i can keep track of my ink colors, punches and nestibilities, and all my stamps. i got the idea for this book from a blog called mish mash. thanks for the inspiration.
