New Design Team Member

i have big news! my friend, Kim Jones, owner of Serendipity, has asked me to be a part of a design team for her store. i will be using supplies that she sells in her store. you can find Serendipity at 19 S Main St, Henderson KY 42420.
270-827-3288
the store has mostly A Muse stamps, JustRite Monogram stamp kits, and some Clear Stamps. she also has all kinds of scrapbooking paper, ribbon, buttons by the scoop, dew drops, stickles, and mostly chalk inks. my favorite find there is the Mono glue, and she has it half the price of hobby lobby. i always love a deal.

i did some sewing on the card with the buttons. i made another that i was able to sew the buttons onto the card, but forgot to use that one for the pic. the ric rac card has the center image popped up. i loved the way the paper piecing on the cupcake turned out, but hated cutting it out.

next, i used the DIY JustRite Monogram set, along with the dewdrops. this patterned paper is from Webster's Pages, delish, raspberry ruffle. i used a section to make a flap for the envelope, and then trimmed it to make a scalloped edge. she also has the paper punches that goes perfectly with the monograms (1 3/4" circle, and 2" scallop).

and this patterned paper is scalloped on the edges, but that really isn't manly for the golfer, so i trimmed it off. it is from Vintage Moon Collection by Holly McCaig called Moonrakers. (small tidbit about me is that i love the book Moonraker's Bride by Madeline Brent.)

Rock n Roll

i was inspired by this paper that betty gave me. so i used my new pocket silhouettes set and then did the rock'n'roll technique with old olive and blue bayou. i had decided to use the sketch on the left, but it felt so lopsided, so i added the piercing, but still didn't like it, so i changed it to my old standby on the right.

Pumpkin Crazy 2

i think i have shown some of these pumpkin cards before. but i have changed the cardstock colors and the patterned paper too. i think the polka dots are happy, that is why i paired them with this phrase.

i made some with the hemp twine, they are both made with close to cocoa cardstock.

and this is a little different take, with really rust and pumpkin pie cardstock. i loved the orange polka dot paper but it was overwheming on the pumpkin paper, so i brought in the cream layer.
they are all done with watercolor pencils and an aqua pen. you know i love watercoloring.

Sorbet Daisies

mom just got this set, and i got to use it. i found a new idea for sponging on someone else's blog. since the new sets are die cut, they saved the outline, pulled off the sticky part, and used it to sponge. so i used it to sponge in so saffron, over the daisies that are stamped in pti berry sorbet. i also love the dew drops.

Clean Pockets?

i was finally able to stamp with my new su set called pocket silhouettes. and i wanted to do some clean and simple cards. so here they are. the above ones i did with retired ink, soft sky and bayou blue. but after i made 2 cards with the ribbon, i realized that i was not ever going to be able to replace the ribbon. so i made the others without ribbon.
these are made with bravo burgandy. and they all are on papertrey ink white cardstock. i love that paper, it is so nice and thick, perfect for no layer cards.

Bothway Blossoms & Filigree

i know i haven't uploaded anything lately, but i have been doing some stamping. i made these boxed sets last week. there is 4 in each set. i wanted to use the su elegant eggplant paper, but i only had one sheet. so, that is the top left set. the right 2 sets are su perfect plum. and the bottom left is pti plum pudding. the eggplant is still my favorite.
the center has a shadow stamp inked with pale plum. and i matched the filigree stamp ink to each paper.
