"Green" Grocery Totes

ok, here is what i have been up to this week. michelle has been encouraging me to make easier totes to sell at the henderson arts & crafts fair. so i found some decorator fabrics on clearance and put woven belting as the handles.
i also surged the seams, so hopefully there will be less raveling on the inside.

i had just enough left over on this shell fabric to make a pocket for the inside.

let me know what you think about the pocket, and if you like them, i will try to find enough to put them in the rest of the totes.

i also squared off the bottoms. it makes them a little roomier.
this is such a happy fabric. i wish i could find more of it.

Gift Card Holder

here is a special card that holds a gift card. this one is holding a cute target card that has the target dog in a bowling alley. you can see the pins set up there sticking out of the edge of the card.
i got the idea from another blogger, julie who gives great detailed instructions at paper pleasing ideas.

More Petal Prints

here is a slight variation on my other card that uses this paper. i accidentally cut these too short to make the other card. so i just stamped "grateful" at the bottom, and called it done.

Diagonal Double Pocket

this is my first double pocket card. here is a link to instructions on how to make one. it uses one sheet of double sided paper.
here it is pulled apart a little. it has a bookmark in one pocket and a place to write your note on the other. i love the colors.
accessories: circle, square, & scallop punches.

Burgandy Petals

sorry that i haven't uploaded anything lately. but maybe you will like this latest card. i was inspired by this basic grey paper from the sugared collection. i used some glimmer mist for the faux watercoloring. i also used a sketch of a card (the pink poppy) that i saw on Debbie Olson's blog, Thinking Inking.
paper: su river rock, bravo burgandy, whisper white. basic grey-sugared.
ink: bravo burgandy, mellow moss.
accessories: oval punch, horizontal slot, corner rounder, bravo burgandy ribbon.

Another Gift Set

i love this paper by Tres Jolie. this uses the JustRite monongrams. lately, i have been including a bookmark with the set too.
it comes in a box from clearbags, and has 4 folded cards, and 4 single note cards, with 8 envelopes to match.

this set uses groovy guava ink. i hope tammy likes her set.

Selena's Bonus

selena sent me quite a bit of extra fabric, and i have been wanting to try my hand at making smaller purse size bags. so i experimented with this one. it needed a little extra something, so i got out my stash of grandma's buttons. there are two on each side.
i had just a little lining fabric left over, so i put a double pocket on the inside.

Mollie Paige's Tote

mollie picked out her own fabric. i think she made a great choice. it is a fun print. i like the big green bloom best.
the print is so busy that we needed a solid to tone it down a bit. the light blue lining is a perfect match. i kept trying to talk her into a brown polka dot batik that matched really well, but it would have made the tote too dark with all that brown. the blue is a perfect choice.
