Pieced Chair & Lamp

i just love this paper from kim's store. it is by Bo Bunny called winter whisper. i stamped the chair & lamp on the brown paper because i thought it looked like a marbled paint technique some have on their walls. then i paper pieced the chair and lampshade with the plaid and snowflake papers.

i am stuck on the buttons and snowflakes too. also the ribbon is velvet, just a little extra texture for the card.

here is another shot of the "room". i also used A Muse ovals to make a faux rug for under the chair/lamp.
inks: stazon timber brown, cats eye chalk brown
stamps: A Muse chair & lamp, just saying hello, ovals mini set

i have been thinking about my own tags for the totes. i did a swap for a su set called stamp of authenticity. so i won't be able to do many of these. but i think they are cute.

Lavender Edward

this is a little 3 inch card. i was playing with the creative impressions snowflakes and realized one had a lavender hue when put on purple paper. am also using up some scraps of black chipboard.

Let It Snow!

this is kim's new paper, by Bo Bunny called winter whisper. i haven't sewed on a card in a while, and thought this one needed it. i am still in love with buttons, so i used one under the creative impressions medium snowflake and silver snowflake brad. i kinda like the wavy banner, dave would have liked it better if it wasn't crooked.

Kissing Couple

i know i have done this one before, in a different color, but i love it so much. when i saw this paper at kim's store, serendipity,(19 s main st, henderson, ky) i immediately thought of the girl's skirt. i am in love with buttons lately. can you tell?
this is one of my annual anniversary cards(meaning i find a card i love so much, i mass produce it for a year's worth of anniversary cards for my friends) you may have it in another color.

Flower Sketch

this is another i did for kim's store. i used one of her dollar stamps, called flower sketch. i used the brown cat's eye chalk ink to sponge the edge of the flower, then i attached it to the ric rac ribbon with a button and embroidery floss. the background paper has glitter already on it.
dave says it is too busy for him. but i really didn't add that much, it is just the paper.

Donald & Edward - Together Again

dave and i are home sick today, at least it is not snowing here. but i played with the snowmen brothers. i think they are too cute.
the black paper is a glitter paper, and i used my new swiss dots on my cuttlebug to make a snow look on the background and also on edward and the "you're cool". i guess it wasn't snowing anymore on donald.
i used my aqua pen to color them, i think the chalk inks did very well. i am not used to using them, yet.
anyway this is for kim's store, serendipity, in henderson, ky(19 s main st).

we had the cupcake social today, with michelle demonstrating the copic markers, and kim had all kinds of new products in the store, and really good cupcakes to eat. i also had my first class in the store.

here is a link to michelles blog, she has a slide show of everyone that came.

also, congrats to shae otto, one of the ladies that took my class. she won the grand prize of the serendipity tote and all the goodies too.

Edward's Cocoa

this is a cocoa packet holder for my december design team at Serendipity(19 s main st, henderson, ky).

i used A Muse stamps: Edward the snowman, and snowflake.

the white and dark blue snowflakes are by Creative Impressions. i also used a snowflake brad. (edited to add, thanks Kim)

i used Debbie Olson's template. her original can be found on her blog, thinking inking.

on the strap around the holder, edward is on black chipboard.
don't you love how i highlighted the cocoa, so that you can see that it is "artificially flavored"? (roll eyes here)

on the inside of the holder, it is snowing, see the glittery snowflakes?
Stamps: A Muse: Edward, snowflake, let it snow.
Paper: PTI white cardstock, A Muse blue polka dot, black chipboard, black glitter paper, white glitter paper (all can be found at Serendipity)

Holly's 2nd Tote

this one is holly's other tote. i love the green stripe.
the lining has the greens and browns that match perfectly to the outside.
i resized the inside pocket to hold pens or something slim like sunglasses.

and i just had to do the faux piping again. it turned out just the way i wanted.

Serendipity Tote

this is a special tote that i made for a giveaway for Serendipity, 19 s main st, Henderson KY.
Serendipity is having a Cupcake Social on Dec 6, 2008.
michelle will be teaching copic markers, i will be teaching a class at 2:00 that features this cupcake set. and kim will have all sorts of cupcakes to eat too.
this tote will be given away and will be filled with all sorts of scrapbooking supplies.

i did the faux piping again. i know i have said this before, but i love it.
and here is holly's tote next to this tote. i can't decide which i like better. they are both favorites.

Holly's Tote

this is for holly. we went shopping at joann's fabrics and this is what we picked out. i love the black and white print. and the pinks look so good. but the colors didn't come out to well in the pics.
i did the faux piping again. i just love this part.

and here is a better pic of the lining. it reminds me of really cool polka dots, only not.

Edward Snowman

here is my happy snowman, edward. i would like to also get donald, so they can keep each other company. i am getting a little a head on my december design team entry for Serendipity.
these snowmen make me smile.
both of these papers remind me of snow, what with all the glitter. the black looks like a night sky with snow to me. and the silver snowflakes are brads.

ok, here is the same pic tilted. i have been seeing other people's blogs with all of their pics tilted one way or the other. i like some, but i think i would rather see a straight pic. i am trying to decide if i like it or not.
what do you think? tilt or no, or sometimes.

Cookbook

this is part of my design team admission for Serendipity(19 s main, henderson, ky). i thought this would be a cool gift(maybe for a wedding shower). this is the card to go with the cookbook.
there are 6 different little pics on the corners of the recipe cards.

i love the buttons. i attached them with embroidery thread.

i used black chipboard for the front and back covers. it is sturdy enough to stand up on its own. i love that it can stand on the counter while you are cooking.

this is the inside of the front cover.

and this is the inside of the back cover.

the paper is all doublesided. it is Bon Appetit by teresa collins. i love the plastic sleeves for the recipe cards too. that way you can wipe the spills or splashes off of them.

Debbie's Tote

this tote is for a customer from the henderson art's & crafts fair. you are probably thinking this tote looks familiar, but it is a little different. it has a new lining that i am in love with. i also have learned a couple new techniques, and i experimented with this one. for one, it has the fleece interfacing in the handles too, which i wish i would have put in all of my previous totes. sorry, girls. i guess you will have to wear out your totes to get a new and improved one.

another new thing is the faux piping. i have been reading sewing blogs now. and got the idea from this blog, blissful. she has absolutely beautiful totes. check out these weekender totes. i love them. she also shares great ideas.

Mom's Grocery Totes

when i went to joann's fabric store, i saw this fabric, and it screamed mom's name. so i just had to buy it. it is a zebra print in brown.

Golfer Chick

this is my latest card for kim's store, Serendipity(19 s main st, henderson, ky).
her outfit is paper pieced. i like the green shirt because it is textured paper so it kind of looks like a waffle knit. not really sure a golfer would wear that, but my golfer chick does.
stamps: lady golfer by a muse, essential ovals set by a muse.
inks: stazon timber brown, cats eye chalk: ice blue and ice jade(her hat & socks)

Mary's Grocery Totes

i had some fabric from mary's big tote left over, so i made this grocery tote. i used a little darker handle, kind of a mocha color.
mary bought fabric to have these blue ones made. and the navy handles match perfectly.

i tried to center the fabric for the pocket. i like the way it turned out.

and this is the other fabric mary purchased. this one has pink handles and dave says it reminds him of neopolitan ice cream. so the whole time i am making these, i keep thinking i want ice cream. it really is a little neopolitan with pistachio mixed in, and some sherbet on the side. are you hungry yet?

Hey Cupcake!

this is my october project that i made for Serendipity ( 19 S Main St, Henderson KY). i had SOOO much fun using the store's bind-it-all, to make the notebook. that is a terrific machine.
i used black chipboard for the front and back of the notebook. i used memo paper from office depot (4x6) inside the notebook.
the black and white paper is by doodlebug design inc, called black divine. it is my new fav paper. the pink paper is also by doodlebug, it is bubblegum - sugar coated cardstock. then i topped the cupcakes with cotton candy stickles. does all of this make you want candy?
i will also be teaching a class at Serendipity sometime in november, and we will be making everything in this pic. that will be exciting for me. i have done one mother/daughter workshop before, but it has been several years. so i am nervous and excited all at the same time.

More Things i Made for Fair

here are some more bookmarks that i made for the festival. the orange one was just patterned paper with a jewell brad. it was the first to sell.

this is one more of the "green" grocery totes.
